It can be seamlessly handled by users of all levels, thanks to its intuitive workspace.
I have a lady's computer and she's asked me to do some maintenance. She had forgotten her password. I've been unable to log into her account, and the local Administrator user doesn't show up even under Safe Mode. I've used chntpw from my Linux computer, I've used ERD Commander 2005, and I used password-changer. On all of these I set it just to 'clear' the password.
After using password-changer, the user account appears broken because now instead of just getting told it's the wrong password, I get 'The parameter is incorrect'. The computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium. What can I do to get logged into any account on the computer?
Even creating a new one via some 3rd party software or SOMETHING just so I can get logged in to do the things she originally wanted me to do. The account 'administrator' is disabled by default in vista/win7. You need to make another account that has admin rights or you need to clear the password on the existing account. I would not recommend enabling the admin account.
She didn't tell you the password and wants you to fix what is wrong, reset the password to her account. Hirens boot disk has some great password reset utilities in it.
I tried using hiren's from a Falcon 4 disk and it seemed broken, I'll see if I can track down a standalone copy. I'm thinking that one of these tools has corrupted the SAM file or something. Now when I boot one of the utilities, they all have 'Clear Password' ticked on her account, but it still says 'Invalid Parameter' if I try entering no password. If I enter a password it just says wrong username/password.
Also on almost all of them now the last letter of her username has been either clipped off or replaced with a strange character. Just FYI, Hiren's is an illegal compilation. That particular utility, which you can get stand-alone, is not. What is illegal about it? Everything has been replaced that was illegal. Perhaps the windows pe environment.oh wait that is free too.

CD/DVD writer if you want to creat a bootable CD/DVD. Or if you have an oem pack, it comes with the kit to make a windows pe environment. Doesn't the latest copy still have Active Password Changer, which is pay software? Also HDD Regenerator. Are those demo versions? I've seen them in action, and they seemed full-featured to me. Going by the change logs they got rid of a lot of their pirated software in 11.0.
10.6 log was the last version that mentions that software. So hirens worked for enabling the administrator account, which I then used to fix her account. Weird though because the software looked to be a frontend for chntpw, which I tried from my Debian box without success. Oh well I got it working. On the topic of things full of pirated software, look up Falcon 4. Some soldier in the military made it and it's loaded with stuff like a full version of ERD, for free.
Last time I checked ERD had been discontinued, and was pay software. While I am a huge supporter of the GPL when it's used properly, this guy thought he could protect his pirated stuff by slapping a Linux bootloader on a disc and including a copy of the GPL. I love the fact that my iPhone and iPad Pro both have “touch” so now I don’t even have to remember the Master Passwood! My information got hacked in the Equifax mess. I immediately went to the vault to the file labeled FINANCIAL and change those passwords first. Then the CREDIT CARD file and on down the line of folders in order of importance. I’ve had to use customer service several times over the years and every time they have been extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly helpful. You have to be doing something right to have almost 23,000 reviews and a rating of 4.8. I have had Keeper for many years as well as multiple mobile phones, multiple laptops, desktops and iPad.
Every time it has been completely seamless to load everything from one device to another. I backup at least once a week to all other devices and also to the cloud.
There is absolutely no way to remember all the passwords I have unless I used the same one for all applications. Now wouldn't that be fun to get to change everyone every time the 6 that are changed every 6 months! Worth every penny I have spent over the years. Great, free app I rely on this app a lot, maybe too much. I use it to store ALL my passwords and I like the fact that I can organize into folders. I’ve got folders for banking, travel, shopping, medical, and more.
My only concern was the fact that recently the app wasn’t working, it wouldn’t open so I couldn’t retrieve any of my user ids or passwords. I tried all sorts of resets with the phone and the app but nothing worked.
I couldn’t reach anyone that actually helped for about 3 or 4 days. They had to reset my account on their end and they provided no explanation as to what happened. I was very concerned that I was going to lose everything and start all over resetting passwords everywhere; it was a nightmare. When I finally did get someone to reset my account they were non-apologetic and very nonchalant, I did not feel comfortable that my information was safe and secure or that this wouldn’t happen again.
Again, they did not provide an explanation for why this may have happened and this is a service (app) that I pay for annually. And, I e been a customer for a few years. Anyway, I am sticking with them for now, but, I’ll be looking for something else. I rely on this app a lot, maybe too much.

Recently the new update erased all my files and left me with a prompt to pay since the year free trial was over. Are you freaking kidding me?! By that note my 'free trial' had already been over YEARS AGO but with out any warning they erased all my files and want money from me now! You have GOT TO BE JOKING! I bet if I had payed the extortion money my files would magically reappear! They erased passwords that I stored no where else! Information that I stored no where else because I wanted it stored on my device only!

Don't get this app unless your willing to shovel out $60 bucks a year! Also the fake review up on the top of reviews. There is no number to customer service you just get auto generated emails saying customer support will get back to you or you can try the live customer chat from 3am to 7pm but no way to access it on their website. Total trash is what this app is. So be warned! Warning to all who try the free app for keeper!
